Abstract
The purpose. The main objective of the study is enriching national gene pool sugar beet with entirely new source material with apozygotic way of seed reproduction based on a genetic model that provides differentiation of progeny, including according to apozygosis type. Methods. A method for sterile materials reproduction under non-pollen regime for obtaining new monogerm genotypes of sugar beet was used. Results. A genetic model differentiation of generative and somatic embryogenesis in apozygosis, which exploits selective genetic markers, is developed. Variability in apozygotic progeny is determined by phenotypic characteristics of nuclear genes of monogermity and cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS). Conclusions. We selected homozygous pollen-sterile lines of the first apomictic reproduction, which were further investigated on nuclear DNA quantitative content using "Partec" cytometry methods.
