Abstract
Goal. To study the effect of improved feeding on the productive qualities of sows, growth, and development of piglets up to 45 days of age. Methods. The research was conducted according to methods in pig breeding (O.I. Ovsiannykov). The formation of groups of sows (control and experimental) was carried out by the method of group analogs. Feed costs and animal productivity were determined by the zootechnical method. Biometric processing of research results was carried by the method of variation statistics. Results. Based on the conducted researches the advantage of the rations balanced by feed additives and made according to the improved compounding is established. Experimental data on the main indicators of productivity of sows and their offspring up to 45 days of age are given: in the experimental group the number of stillborn piglets was less by 3.7%; the quantity of the born weighing less than 1 kg — less by 7.42%; the quantity of the born weighing 1 kg and above — more by 15.55%. On average, an additional 1.4 viable piglets were got for each nest, and the difference in nest weight at birth in favor of the experimental group was + 36.22%. As a result of feeding with the improved feed additives, the additional increase in nest weight was 45.55 kg, or 39.60% (P<0.001) more. Conclusions. The positive effect of the use of diets balanced with improved feed additives on the productivity of sows and their offspring have been confirmed. Compared to standard additives, they contribute to a significant increase in average daily growth by 21.12% and nest weight — by 39.6%.
