Abstract
Goal. To reveal the modern features of the development of animal husbandry in personal farms (PF), to highlight the main problems, and show the prospects of animal husbandry in this category of management. Methods. The methodological basis of the study is the systematic method of understanding the processes of development of PF in the production of livestock products. Methods used: abstract (theoretical generalizations and conclusions); monographic; comparative, etc. Results. An analysis is made of the state of the livestock industry in PF, as well as their role and place in the production of products in the region. The results of the study confirm that the main factors influencing the decline in livestock production of PF of Prykarpattia are: insufficient funding, low purchase prices for meat and milk, which leads to losses; problems with providing farms with fodder; low technical security, and high complexity of products; lack of cooperation between PF; the difficult demographic situation in the village (the population goes to work), etc. PF cooperation is extremely important for the development of agricultural production in them, and especially for those who have joined their land plots to allocated land shares. Conclusions. As a result of the study, it was found that PF plays an important role in the production of livestock products in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. After all, the share of households in the total production of livestock products has stable high performance. However, this is achieved through significant material costs and labor resources. In general, the level of costs for the production of the main types of livestock products in PF is quite high, which calls into question the competitiveness of this form of management, both in domestic and foreign markets.
