The use of API-indication to improve the efficiency of the state monitoring system of contaminated territories

Abstract
Goal. To analyze the aspects of the use of the indication of polluting substances and the possibility of integrating this technology into the state system of monitoring the state of the surrounding natural environment. Methods. Monographic — for summarizing the results of research obtained by foreign and domestic scientists; comparative — to conduct a comparative assessment of the effectiveness of using different methods of indicating contaminated areas using bees and beekeeping products; retrospective analysis — to study the periods of research on API-indication topics; abstract-logical — for the formation of conclusions and proposals for improving the state of environmental monitoring. Results. The creation of a perfect system of environmental monitoring of objects requires the development of modern complex methodological approaches to the assessment of the state of the environment, in particular methods of bioindication of the territory. It was proven that the use of bees as bioindicators of pollution made it possible to create a network of monitoring facilities that did not require complex and expensive equipment, power supply, or specialized personnel. A professionally configured API-monitoring system can provide a full range of information about the state of the natural environment, indicate ongoing changes, and predict new ones. Conclusions. API-aries can be considered as ready-made subsystems for monitoring the state of the natural environment. The API-indication method provides many economic advantages compared to common physicochemical methods for determining the content of heavy metals. The maximum effectiveness of the API-indication method is possible with the use of digital technologies.
