Abstract

Goal. To reveal the conceptual aspects of the development of ecologically oriented entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector at the regional level. Methods. General and special scientific methods are applied: dialectical, deductive, inductive, analysis and synthesis, grouping, graphic, and SWOT analysis. Results. Trends in the concentration of land resources in rather large farms were analyzed. A SWOT analysis of ecologically oriented agricultural production in the Carpathian region of Ukraine was conducted, which made it possible to identify the strengths and weaknesses of its functioning. The conceptual aspects of the development of ecologically oriented agricultural production at the regional level were revealed, which included: substantiation and development of normative legal support to determine the criteria for the inclusion of areas in mountain areas; implementation of regional agro-industrial programs, which should reflect strategically important issues of stimulating production and reviving traditional areas of specialization in mountainous areas; state support for business entities that carry out production activities in difficult conditions on power lands characterized by relatively low-quality soil cover indicators; formulation of environmental principles of management in the charters of business entities. Conclusions. The results of the research can be used to justify the competitive environmental strategy of agricultural enterprises of the Carpathian region of Ukraine, which can become an effective mechanism for realizing their production and resource potential and contribute to the expansion of the capacity of the domestic agro-food market of high-quality and safe products that meet world standards.
